This paper mainly discusses the invention ofpapermaking and its technological innovation in Wei, Jin, the Southern and NorthernDynasties, the establishment of the paper’s dominant position in the document area,archives’ carrier and its form in Wei, Jin, the Southern and Northern Dynasties, archivesmanagement in this period, etc. Through these studies, the specific situation of archivesmanagement after the evolution of archives’ carriers can be highlighted, the influence to archives management which was brought by the evolution of archives’ carriers and theway of working which archives management should keep can be deduced.
