Shiseido is Japan’s large fast-selling cosmetics company whose HR Component of SAP ERP has been on-line for a long time and plays an important role in Personal management. But most of the business functions are for HR administrators and build in R/3system through dedicated software to access. Since many colleagues are dispersed throughout the country or even around the world, staff mobility is strong; this causes great difficulties in maintenance of employee information. Meanwhile as the development of Web technology and widely used, demand of system relies on the browser and independent to the ERP system is growing. Therefore, the lack of system which a staff can be for self-study, self-manage their work and life, view/update basic personal data and pay-to-date vacation/travel information, submit/download legal forms, etc., and from outside the ERP system by IE and other browsers can directly access the system.First of all, the current status of the traditional HR systems and problems are discussed, and that build the ESS system and compared to traditional HR system has the advantage of a clear implementation of the ESS and the need for systems development. On this basis, analysis of user information query, update, vacation request, pay to view and submit the request and other major features, approval, notification and other core processes. And analysis system of the MVC architecture, and basic data management staff, vacation travel management, payroll management subsystem detail design, which focuses on the FPM technology in the foreground a highly configurable interface, standardization and personalization of specific design and achieve the core. In addition the scalability and prospect of the ESS is also analyzed, and indicating the strengths and weaknesses of the current ESS.
