An underground gas intelligent wireless monitoring system is designed inthis paper based on the needs of research together with the practical applicationof mine. JN5139is used as the control and processing core in this system basedon the ZigBee2006protocol, and the Z-stack protocol stack networking isenabled to get the gas terminal node which placed underground join with thewireless network through certified identification. The real-time concentration ofmethane gas collected by the underground gas terminal node is received by thenetwork coordinator, and then the network coordinator is made connected withthe host computer through the RS-485industrial bus. With PC monitoringinterface to monitor the methane gas concentration of each node in the wirelessnetwork and related performance indicators and parameters and other importantinformation of ZigBee communication, the alarm threshold, which can improvethe stability of the system, is set by the software. The sound and light alarm isadopted in this system.The main researches of this paper are as follows:Firstly, the hardware circuit of the wireless network sensor terminal isdesigned. To reduce the impact from environment to the system terminal node,the lithium battery-powered is used in the system, and the signal is collected bythe gas sensors together with temperature and humidity sensor, and then thesignal is send to the wireless network coordinator wirelessly. Hardware circuit ofthe wireless network coordinator is designed. The gas concentration temperatureand humidity signal got from wireless network sensor terminal transmission issent to the host computer RS-485industrial bus to realize the Real-timemonitoring of the underground gas.Secondly, the data acquisition and signal conditioning circuitry of the gassensor is designed, with the gas sensor Calibration, collected gas concentration data is changed to the1V~3V voltage output.Thirdly, the wireless devices with the same frequency, covered by ZigBeewireless network with the state of the ZigBee-2006protocol standardsestablished mesh, can be connected to the ZigBee wireless network certified. Thenetwork address are assigned to the node joined in the wireless network, with thecorresponding network address and the geographic information of the node, itcan provide convenient conditions for accurate sound and light alarm.Fourthly, the VB6.0is applied to prepare the monitor interface of PC, themonitor interface mainly to complete the concentration data of each node in thenetwork of PC, and real-time to receive and draw a concentration curve of eachnode to complete the alarm of the host computer.
