The wireless networks is a self-organizing network, it collects the information perception, processing, transmitting, and providing together. In the information provided by the wireless sensor networks, location information has a very important role. We can not only know the location of the incident through the location information, but also can be real-time monitoring the track of the action, manage the network and count the number of the nodes in the network, promote mutual cooperation between nodes. Therefore, the wireless network positioning technology becomes an important area in the WSN technology. ZigBee technology is a successful application of WSN technology, with its close-up, low-cost, good safety profile and other characteristics providing a solution for some of the problems of the positioning system. The main contents are as follows:1.A detailed analysis and research of the principle of the typical localization algorithms is carried out. Simulating the nodes maps, positionging error and neighbor relationship of the APIT localization algorithm, DV-Hop Localization algorithm and RSSI-based localization algorithm, and compare the result of the simulation. Through the positioning error of each algorithm can be drawn that in a certain scale WSN network, RSSI-based location algorithm has better positioning effect. Overlay network for maximization study the issue and come to maximize network coverage and positioning reference node when the number of nodes relationship, which helps reduce network deployment time and reduce system costs.2. The defects of the traditional RSSI location algorithm is analyzed, through the introduction of third-party reference node and centroid localization algorithm to locate on the RSSI algorithm is improved and made relevant mathematical theoretical derivation, and then gives the improved positioning algorithm processes.3. Analysing the positioning error of the RSSI-based algorithm, and make the relevant mathematical theory derivation, and then describes the improved positioning algorithm processes. The improved algorithm can improve the positioning accuracy of the system.4. The thesis uses TI’s CC2430/2431ZigBee chip to achieve a positioning system node hardware circuit and software program design, given the hardware schematics and program flow, and built positioning system, test the system, before and after contrast enhancement algorithm positioning node positioning error.
