Aiming at the feature of wireless sensor network localization system applicationenvironment complex with complex, short life, cost, higher requirementscharacteristic for positioning technology, mostly ways can not adapt to the wirelesssensor network, in spite of the existing positioning technology in specific environmenthaving better positioning performance. However, ZigBee technology can meet therequirements of wireless sensor network localization, this paper researches deeplyabout it, and designs a wireless sensor network positioning system based on ZigBeetechnology. There are several innovation points and the main work in this article,including the following aspects:First of all, the existing wireless positioning algorithms are studied deeply. Thereis some improvement about the actual situation of the received signal strengthindicator. The improved method is based on ranging numerical matching methoddepending on the scene in the strike of the relationship between path loss andtransmission distance curve fitting; when it is need to locate, three horny heartpositioning algorithm and dual reference node localization algorithm are suitable toindoor and outdoor respectively.Secondly, the hardware platform core of the positioning system is CC2530chipsystem developed by TI. The positioning system is also equipped with liquid crystaldisplay (LCD). That can provide users with the visual procedure. The core of thesystem software is Z-Stack protocol Stack which is fully compliant with the standardof ZigBee2007.Thirdly, the development of the software of the positioning system is also one ofthe important points in this paper. The ZigBee network-based positioning software isdeveloped on the basis of in-depth study of Z-Stack protocol. The mathematicalalgorithm and node communication process are realized with the foundation of Z–Stack. It is the combination of ranging calibration and the positioning process.There are a large number of practical tests about positioning system for indoorand outdoor environment respectively. Test results show that the positioning systemcan meet the design requirements, and the positioning error can be controlled in therange of25cm.
