Research On The Curriculum System Of Competency-based TV Programs Production Major Of Higher Vocational Education

The cultivating aim of Higher Vocational Education of China is training applied talentswith a high degree of skills and we advocate a competency-based training mode, which meanstraining students to get the required professional abilities. The core of students training iscurriculum, so a reasonable and scientific curriculum is the key to achieve training goals.Under the long-term impact of traditional education on our higher vocational education, thereare still many problems about our curriculum system, so the ability of our students is far fromthe requirement of market. Hunan Province is the famous for the media industry, whichmakes the high demand for highly-skilled students in TV programs production major, but thestudents studying in this major of higher vocational education can not meet the demand of thedevelopment of TV industry and the problems about curriculum are the root of thisphenomenon. In this paper, we take Hunan Mass Media Vocational Technical College as anexample. On the basis of the theoretical research on the competency-based curriculum systemof higher vocational education, I have analyzed the vocational capacity of the major, TVprograms production, to provide a realistic basis for the competency-based curriculum system.According to the survey, I have found out the problems about curriculum system of highervocational education. For example, the unclear cultivating aim of talents, curriculum designdoes not match the vocational capacity, the curriculum content does not focus on thevocational capacity, poor curriculum implementation and old-fashioned curriculum form, theneglect of capacity-testing in curriculum evaluation, imperfect security mechanisms,etc.Tosolve these problems, we should define the competency-based curriculum objectives,the competence-oriented curriculum design, curriculum content focusing on thevocational capacity and we must vigorously strengthen the practice of teaching, theintegrated teaching models, capacity-testing assessment and evaluation system and weshould perfect the competency-based security mechanisms continuously.In short, we should attach importance to comprehensive professional capacities to buildcurriculum system for TV programs production major of higher vocational education, socapacity-building can run through the whole process of teaching, which will enhance thecomprehensive vocational ability, the social adaptability and the competitiveness of thestudents.
