MSAP, multi-service access platform, is mainly to solve the problems of telecom operators in the access to SDH transmission network. In network structure, it is at the access layer of SDH transmission network of telecom operators. In engineering application, it is mainly used for the bottom access scenario of big customer private line of transmission network. In technology, it integrates present technologies of SDH, PDH, Ethernet, etc, available to realize the access, convergence and transmission of TDM and Ethernet service in a uniform platform and provide uniform network management platform. It is the latest development of SDH technology.MSAP realizes the access, convergence and transmission of TDM and Ethernet service in a uniform platform, available to provide private line service of El, V.35, V.24, PDH, Ethernet, etc and provide reliable and uniform network management at carrier-class. The adoption of MSAP as interlayer equipment of access network and SDH network not only can realize the upgrade of network, but also can make use of present network of every operator as much as possible and protect investment. Also, as a collective and uniform platform, it has many advantages as little space occupied, large capacity, convenient wiring and management, flexible access mode, convenient capacity expansion and upgrade, low cost in construction, operation and maintenance, etc. Therefore, MSP got the favor of every operator and is greatly popularized in recent years. The bid inviting test and other work for telecom equipment manufacturers are also performed widely.In December2010, the state standard of MSAP, Technical requirements on YD/T2158-2010network access multi-service access nodes (MSAP) is published formally, providing standard basis for MSAP design of all manufactures in China.Small size MSAP multi-service access equipment is a small capacity multi-service access platform. Based on SDH technology, it adopts technologies of high-capacity intersection, GFP, LCAS, etc with the advantages of flexible network organization, reliable protection, easy management and maintenance, etc and realizes the comprehensive transmission of TDM and Ethernet service. Providing the transparent transmission, binding and multiplexing of many services as El, V.35, Ethernet, etc in one platform uniformly, it can satisfy the needs of TDM service access and transmission, intersection connection, SDH looped network organization, etc and thus is widely used in programs of big customer access, private network establishment, base station transmission, etc by telecom operators. It can satisfy the different needs of different customers in a comprehensive access platform, simplify the planning and construction of access network and save the cost of customers.The research, development and production of MSAP equipment have a great significance to the operator network construction of our county. The research in design and implementation method of small MSAP multi-service access equipment for simple network organization and customer access end also has a great importance, based on the actual demand, this paper carried out the research work.As the project general manager, I through the communication with customer, understand the current customers on the MSAP equipment needs, and in view of the current market has been MSAP equipment quality to carry on the analysis, proposed the product structure and overall design scheme of hardware module, and then with other project team personnel in discuss, modify, finally complete the project technical scheme. In the project, embedded system design, function realization, by my to complete, hardware and network design, the project team other personnel to complete. I finally organization for the whole equipment to do the final test, and organize the project evaluation, production center to equipment production.The paper mainly introduces the following aspects:1) MSAP multi-service access equipment is piece of equipment realizing the joint of MSTP/MSAP, so it is necessary to understand the overall structure of SMTP/MSAP equipment. In the design of small size MSAP multi-service access equipment framework, it must fully take the joint with MSTP/MSAP equipment into consideration. Otherwise, it is impossible to realize the overall function of MSAP equipment.2) According to the small size device level structure of small size MSAP multi-service access equipment, the present analysis mainly includes hardware structure design and the definition of system layering (including hardware layer, embedding layer and network management sublayer. The hardware layer includes two sub-layers of physical hardware layer and business function layer).3) It is necessary to research and use high performance CPU, for example the special communication processor, and to design and develop the application software basing on the CPU embedded operating system selected. 4) It is necessary to research the function chip realizing SDH at present and the realization of EOS chip.5) It is necessary to research snmp network management communication agreement and the realization of software layer interface based on MIB.6) Uniform commissioning and service test.
