With the development of the new network construction, the demand of the network facilities is increasing rapidly. Because of the characteristics of MSAP equipments, multi-accessibility, low costs, and high performances, they are widely used in the Access Network. Zheng You Corporation researched and developed the ZY-MSAP155II-C which is a new generation MSAP equipment. Because of the amalgamation of the transmission services, users require more and more data services, higher bandwidth is needed. ZY-MSAP155-A/B equipment cannot afford sufficient bandwidth and accessing capacity. Therefore, the ZY-MSAP155II-C series equipment is born based on the ZY-MSAP155-B series.In this paper, I will primarily introduce and analyze the software section of the MCU and spur track unit cards (TU Cards) of the news Zhengyou MSAP accessing device. In this section, it will be mainly introduced that the technical enhancement of the new device in the aspect of software functions and protocols. The different OS used in the new and old generation devices will be compared in the Operating System section. The problems and the development in the future of the new MSAP, will be discussed in the last section of this paper.Communications between the MCU and TU Cards primarily afford the functions of card initialization, message sending, message receiving, and message processing. These functions work with calling the relevant function. MCU and TU Cards communicate with each other (for common message)via a series bus in the backboard. It is different from common message, when transmitting an alarm message, a shared RAM in the backboard of the MSAP will be used. In this way, it can avoid the collision of the alarm messages.Another difference between the ZY-MSAP155II-B and ZY-MSAP155II-C is that the former one uses the VRTX real time OS, and the later one works on the VxWorks OS. The APIs are encapsulated in order to enhance the compatibility of the pre-generation software.Although there are some problems in the new MSAP device, they could be solved with the development and the new enhancement of the new techniques.
