With the development of communication technology, telecom services such as High Definition Video,Data Transmission,VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)and Video Conference become popular.High bandwidth and personalized services have become a trend. The traditional SDH technology can hardly meet the needs. In recent years, technologies based on packet switching network such as PTN and IPRAN are applied to these telecom services, which support the development of IP-based services.MSAP(Multi-Services Access Platform)technology also helps to raise the efficiency of resource utilization. However, the growth of IP-based services and different needs of customers have become the new challenge to telecom operators. This paper takes advantage of optical network and MSAP technology. We deploy the MSAP devices in the convergence base stations which can access to both SDH and PTN transmission networks.By using MSAP devices which can support both SDH and PTN technologies,we can combine the two transmission networks as one at the access layer. We also test the connection between MSAP and PTN,which proved the feasibility of providing telecom services to customers.Meanwhile,CWDM and BiDi(Bidirectional)technologies are used to increase the utilization rate of optical fibers. In this paper,MSAP is used to combine different networks at the access layer. Thus we can provide flexible technical proposals to meet the customers' needs as well as reduce the TCO(Total Cost of Ownership)of telecom operators.CWDM and BiDi technologies make the optical network develop sustainably.
