A Study On The Present Situation And Countermeasures Of The Network Media Literacyof University Students Born In The1990S

As a result of the boost of network, a typical new medium and new technology, university students born in the1990s do grow in an environment of advanced network and are even surrounded by it. It is reported that they have been actively involved in directly or indirectly exposing and spreading a variety of network sensations in recent years, such as the case of car knocking against passengers by Li Timing (My Father is Li Gang), the scandal of Tang Jun’s fake diploma, the live broadcast of the accident of bullet train accident On July23rd,2011, and the crazy family violence by Liyang, the advocator of Crazy English. These univerisity students have become such an importance motive power of the medium of nework that they somewhat decide the development of many live issues in society.Whether they can use network as a medium in a proper way is closely and immediately related to their healthy growth and the harmony of the society. Hence it is urgent to have an accurate knowledge of the situation of their network media literacy and work out efficient countermeasures for a better literacy.This study, based on the theoretical and practical researches both home and abroad on network media literacy, defines the concept of network media literacy of of university students born in the1990s, and inquires into the connotation of the concept.With the above and my routine work reallity as a background, the dissertation conducts a comprehensive investigation among the university students in Chongqing. Equipped by these research methods such as literature data, questionnaire, the research focuses on the university students’literacy in the following aspects of netwok as a medium such as cognition, information judgment, moral and law awareness, security, self management of network behavior, development and innovation, urvey, interview, case study, and comparison and logical analysis.After a careful analysis and conclusion of the investigation results, the study puts forward the following countermeasures to improve the network media literacy of university students born in the1990s:strengthen the construction of Marx’s position to help the university students born in1990s establish a correct value orientation; have colleges and universities play their main role in education by pushing the program of having network literacy education as part of classroom lectures and part of textbooks; in the light of the law of students’cognitive development, put the literacy education of network media into line with routine ideological and political education for university students; encourage the students to take thie initiative and guide the students in their self-education of network literacy; construct a multisystem of network integrity and create an orderly and healthy network environment; earnestly implement network literacy education with the linkage of all parties concerned.
