So far, Media Education in western country has experienced three theoretical paradigm:the "sophisticated and resist" paradigm in the1930’s,the "public art" paradigm in the late of1950’s to the early of1960’s and the "performance" paradigm in the1970’s and1980’s. After the1980’s, a global Media Literacy Education movement began from Britain, Canada, Australia, the United States and other developed countries to spread around the world. After the1990’s, Japan, India, South Korea and other Asian countries to gradually popularize Media Literacy Education.Media Literacy Education in our country has been developed in this international environment, and continues to spread and expand. Since1997, Media Literacy Education has experienced three stages:initial stage, acceleration stage and deepening stage. Now, it has such problems in the model of practice exploring:how to develop the research and practice of Media Literacy Education in our country. In order to solve this problem, the author analyze the case of Minnesota in America, Ontario in Canada and British film education from the perspective of case selected, case analysis and the enlightenment about the contents and the process of practice. The reasons of the case selected is as follows:Media Literacy Education in Minnesota is the education model about "independent class setting"’and "’integration into other courses ". The paper analyzes the content and characteristics of Media Art course and the Media Literacy Education in English and overall gets the method enlightenment:the combination of "independent class setting" and ’integration into other courses ","media text analysis" and "media creation","goal oriented" and "stratification education".Media Literacy Education in Ontario is the education model about "integration into other courses ".It is the first province that makes Media Literacy Education into the course system in Canada. Now, it has a relatively complete teaching scheme and teaching system. Its typical character is:it makes Media Literacy Education integrate into different course in K1-8, K9-10and K11-12and develops it in various forms. Analyze the content and characteristic in different stage, and overall method enlightenment:the layered model in Chinese teaching of training and the layered model in English."3CS" is finished by many Media Education organization in British, including the BFI, Film Education, Film Club, First Light Movies, Skillset, the national and regional Screen Agencies. Media Literacy Education in British is a great innovation and plays a great role. Now it has obtained many achievements. Analyze the background, connotation, content implementation method, the display of specific implementation and characteristic and then gain the method enlightenment from students involvement, system evaluation, profession developing and experience accumulation.The main studying research is included in this paper:Literature Research (understand the current domestic and foreign Media Literacy Education present situation and the developing trend and the typical case selection), Case Study (three cases studying), list method (media literacy education in Minnesota and in Ontario), and the Induction Method (analysis media literacy education case and then summarize method revelation).
