In the Information Age of the world today, the information has become the indispensable"blood" of the social and economic development, and all technique associated withinformation is also in rapid development. As an important part of information technology, dataacquisition techniques have been applied to almost all areas of people’s life and production. Inview of the traditional wired data acquisition system’disadvantage, for example, wiringcumbersome, high cost, and inconvenient move, based on the research of the developmentstatus of the data acquisition system, data acquisition system based on wireless transmission isdesigned and implemented. Through performance comparison of commonly used short-rangewireless communication technology, ZigBee technology is selected in this research. Integratedthe ZigBee technology and the data acquisition technology into device, and wireless sensornetwork composd of many such devices can be applied to data acquisition system field. It hasa very important significance to the development of data acquisition system in the future.Hardware structure of data acquisition node based on ultra-low power consumptionMCU MSP430F5438, RF chip CC2430and RF front-end CC2591is designed and realized inthe research. Among them, the new ultra-low power consumption MCU MSP430F5438ascore, with various function circuits compose data processing and control module, and it canextend sensors to realize multi-channel data acquisition; Lengthing distance combinationCC2430and CC2591compose wireless RF transceiver module. RF front-end CC2591is usedto improve the transmission power and receive sensitivity, thus prolonging the transmissiondistance. In order to facilitate the transplantation and debugging, two modules adopt a pinconnection; Battery power supply mode is used in this paper, and it has the advantages ofconvenient to move and carry. The controllable power supply circuit is designed in the powersupply terminal of power consumption module. We can start or stop the module at anymoment by MCU, to achieve to save power and delay battery life in the greatest extent.On the basis of hardware, the lower computer software and the upper computer softwareis designed and accomplished. The lower software includes organize network, the softwaredesign and implementation of each node and various modules inside node, including manyroutes data acquisition, storage, the communication among MCU and wireless RF transceiver module, various function circuits and so on. Finnally build a low cost and power consumption,long transmission distance data acquisition system based on tree topology; the uppercomputer softwar uses LabVIEW to design the display interface of the data acquisitionsystem.Finally through testing data acquisition system on various aspects, including the abilityof self-organization, communication quality and performance parameters and so on, theresults proved that the scheme of the data acquisition system designed is feasible, and it hasthe advantage of easy to build, low power consumption and high reliability and vide networkcoverage. And it overcomes the disadvantage of the traditional wired or wireless acquisitionsystem.
