Therefore, in order to achieve the purpose of theenterprise’s profit maximization, it is necessary to research information logisticsmanagement and control systems using GPS/GIS, GPRS,3G communications technology,information management technology, database management technique, which can helpdevelop modern logistics and improve the competitiveness of enterprises.According to the situation of sales logistics transportation and delivery managementin an iron and steel enterprise and the problems, the architecture of management andcontrol system for iron and steel sales logistics based on the Tablet PC is proposed in thispaper. The specific case of sales logistics of Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation isadopted. The need of this case is analyzed in order to realize the e-management. Theoverall framework of system is investigated. The architecture of the system and the designof database structure are studied. The selection of network and equipment is alsoconsidered. The three-tier C/S-based platform framework is adopted to design the systemsoftware architecture in this paper. The function module division is investigated. Thesystem is divided into modules of mobile electronic delivery, electronic harbor report andautomatic alarm. The design of each functional module is emphasis detailed analyzed, andthe implementation is also in-depth studied.By the application of the management and control system for iron and steel saleslogistics based on Tablet PC, the defects of delivery information feedback lag by paperworksheets is improved. The efficiency of the ship scheduling is enhanced. The quality oftransport travel carriage can be effectively monitored. The whole process of transportationand delivery can be monitored. The management level of the enterprise is greatlyimproved. And it is useful to meet the iron and steel enterprise’s management demand.
