USB(Universal Serial Bus) is a new standard interface which can connect PC andperipherals, USB2.0is more and more widely used in PC peripherals for itsadvantages of expanding port easily, convenience and high speed etc. A great deal ofdata stream and high real time requirement in the process of high speed dataacquisition is more accurate, what bring more and more challenge for high speeddata acquisition.USB technology can solve all above of the problem. This paper introduced a real-time accurate data acquisition system, and basedon USB2.0interface chip Cy7c68013A and Altera Cyclone II series chip EP2C35.The system adopted bulk transfer mode in USB protocol which is application totransfer great amount of data. This system worked in EZ-USB FX2Slave FIFOsynchronous mode which can achieve the highest speed. Combining Single-PortSRAM with FIFO core in FPGA, the system achieved high capacity cache, so PCcan receive accurate and lossless data.According to analyze the firmware frame of EZ-USB FX2, an example offirmware development has been given. Analysis of the debug results shows that thefirmware can exactly accomplish device initialization and device enumerationprocess, realize the normal communication between the hose and device. Thenexplain the material approach and key technology of the development of devicediver, the device diver develop by Windows98DDK, and automatic download offirmware has been achieved. PC application programme can control the start, stop,real-time display and speed display of image data which can be storaged in HD whenrequired. The advantage of this design proposal is high reliability, far acquisition speed, and the testing speed can reach320Mbps.
