Universal Serial Bus (USB) has many advantages, for example high transfer rate and flexible use.USB is a standard interface which connected peripheral equipment to compute,and it has very wide applications in PC and engineering Practice's field.In this thesis, the research on data transfer between the millimeter wave short-range detector data recording instrument and PC is the background of Thesis .The hardware and software of the rapid communication system between the external device DSP and PC by USB2.0 bus had been designed.First of all, the thesis analyzes the USB Specification Revision2.0 and introduces the basic principles of data transfer by USB2.0.The second, taking the CYPRESS company's CY7C68013A-128AC as the core chip ,the thesis designed the hardware circuit of the data transfer between the millimeter wave short-range detector data recording instrument and PC. Including: Slave FIFO interface circuits, EEPROM circuits, power circuit and the auxiliary circuit chips and other hardware circuit design and realization.On the software system, the thesiss designed the firmware and the firmware download device drivers. Including: initialization of Slave FIFO mode, user-defined request, the describing table of USB device and the firmware downloads device drivers.Finally, the system has been tested and the designed reaches the demands.
