With the development of information technology, the study of the algorithm of graph and image processing draw the attention of the public. How to achieve the Hardware realization of algorithm has become an increasingly significant research orientation. Data acquisition, as an important approach of sources of information, is one of the most significant foundations of the development of information technology; Therefore, a high-speed data transmission and processing system which can be applied to realize the extended application of data acquisition have a broad application prospect. The USB is a new bus interface standard which possesses many features such as high speed, reliability, expandability and PNP.,etc. The top rate of data transmission raises to 480Mbps in the USB2.0 protocol, which makes the peripheral equipment that can transfer large quantities of data via the USB available. Moreover, the FPGA chip has been widely used in data processing and the implementation of algorithm due to its high working frequency, short design cycle, low cost, rewritable characteristics and many other merits. This article which synthesize the advantages of the USB and the FPGA clip gives a detailed account of the design proposal of the acquisition and memory system of videos and images, and this plan achieves such display system with front-end video acquisition, image transmission and image data display. This system which adopt the FPGA clip of the Altera company as its video capture central processor, use the CY7C68013 chip of the Cypress company as its core. The system not only adopt the Slave FIFO transmission mode to complete the design of data transmission hardware circuit between the PC and the FPGA but can also display the acquisition information of the video image on PC.
