In the process of petrochemical production, many controlled objects have time-delay,nonlinear, time-varying and other issues. They are difficult to get ideal control effect if weuse the traditional strategy. In order to solve this problem, this paper designs the fuzzyadaptive PID algorithm which combines the advantages of conventional and fuzzy control.We control the3-containers water level by the simulation and experiment.The simulation control of the3-containers water level need to be completed inMATLAB software. We establish the fuzzy adaptive PID control model according to thetransfer function of controlled object and fuzzy controller, while make the conventionalPID control model. During the simulation, make sure the fuzzy adaptive PID control andtraditional PID control parameter have the same initial value, in order to reflect adaptivecontrol effect of the advanced algorithm.The fuzzy adaptive PID control experiment based on the AE2000A experimentalapparatus and corresponding JX-300XP distributed control system which is produced byZhejiang SUPCON company. The host setting, control and operation stationconfigurations are completed in the interface of system configuration. Configuring thecustom control scheme is the most important work in the control station. Namely we usethe SCX language to design the fuzzy adaptive PID algorithm. We can do the fuzzyadaptive PID control experiment in the monitoring picture when all the configuration tasksare completed and compiled correctly. At the same, we need to compare the fuzzyadaptive PID control curve with the conventional PID control curve.The control curve of3-containers water level show that both in the simulationenvironment or in the experimental condition, the effect of fuzzy adaptive PID control ismuch superior than the conventional PID control. It includes rapid response, no overshoot,steady with less time, high control precision. In addition, it has a strong robustness andanti interference ability.
