In this paper, we make the interlayer of the boiler in AE2000process control deviceproduced by Zhejiang SUPCON Electronic Technology Co. as object. According to thecharacteristics of the electric boiler jacket temperature control system, such as nonlinear,hysteresis and easy to be disturbed, fuzzy PID control method and fuzzy internal modelPID control method are designed in the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).Throughthe establishment of the proper fuzzy rules, we adjust the incremental factor ofproportional coefficient ΔKp and the incremental factor filter’s time ΔTfonline. Theprograms of the both advanced PID control algorithms are designed using LAD languageand the control experiments in the MCGS configuration system are carried out. Thecharacters are compared deeply between the two advanced algorithms on the basis ofcomparing with the conventional PID control method.The simulation models of the conventional PID control,the fuzzy PID control andthe fuzzy internal model PID control are made in Matlab. The control parameters thataffect control performance are continuously adjusted.And then we can compare the effectof them in the way of both matching and mismatching.We make the Siemens Software as platform for secondary development, complete thesystem I/O configuration, the definition of control scheme configuration, the reportconfiguration, and draw the flowchart, etc.,We design the program of the advancedmethod using LAD language, experiment and debug in MCGS. Compare results in actualoperation.The results show that both of the fuzzy internal model PID control and the fuzzy PIDcontrol perform faster response, zero overshoot, shorter adjustment time, higher steadyaccuracy, better resistance and robustness both in the Matlab simulation environment andin the practical application of PLC. They are all better than the conventional PID on theaspects of dynamic response, stability, resisting jam and robustness. Meanwhile, theresults of the experiments show that the performance of the fuzzy internal PID modelcontrol system is highly improved compared to the fuzzy PID control system.
