The applications is more widespread, gel electrophoresis has been an indispensabletechnology in the field of biological macromolecules research.In this paper, the principles and the application of the gel electrophoresis was described.During gel image pre-processing of the issue, combined with sub-linear transformation ofpre-processing, mark the lanes with the method combined with sub-linear transformation ofimage enhancement and threshold shrinkage devoicing; Second, draw each curves of differentlane according to the gray value, extract the peaks and troughs of each curve simultaneously,so the strip area of the gray value and the area integral calibrated are analyzed and calculated,and the optical density of different length fragments will be calculated according to thestandard bands; Finally, save the relevant information and results into the specified databasetable. The result has been proved by Pro-gel Analyzer which is a famous foreign software. Inthe analysis of DNA gel electrophoresis, image features, based on the Windows system as adevelopment environment and Visual C++developer as a platform to program, designed andimplemented electrophoresis analysis software system.
