Image enhancement of gray scale images is a typical process used as a means ofsupplementing the information in various fields such as inspection, military, satellite image,and several other data visualization applications. One of the most important quality factors inimages comes from its resolution. There are many kinds of noise in those images, for examplethe fog, cloudy sky, atmospheric reflection, details lost in access and transmission and so on.Such affection can have a significant impact on the image quality. Therefore, it is important toefficiently reduce the noise and enhance the images in an image.Wavelet transformation basedon image enhancement technique is only applicable to black-and-white image, and Traditionalpseudo-color image processing technology cannot adequately deal with some of the detailsinformation of the image.In order to solve the above problems, an efficient enhancing algorithm for a satellite imageis proposed by Image Enhancement Based on Wavelet Transformation and Pseudo-colorcoding with phase-modulated image density Processing. This method can process high grayresolution image processed by wavelet transform and Pseudo-color phase-modulated imagedensity processing providing selection of the best performing coloring scheme.In this paper, the research background of wavelet transformation and pseudo-color imageenhancement is depicted. Then, the basic concepts and levels, application and relevantresearch dynamic of the image enhancement are describes, which include quantitativedescription of the various color space model and digital image processing content andcategory.In the third chapter of this paper, intensity slicing enhancement, frequency domainenhancement, image enhancement based on spatialmodulator and some other traditionalpseudo color enhancement are introduced. The most important is that, an enhanced approachof black-and-white image based on wavelet analysis and a new pseudo-color imageprocessing is presented.It can overcome that traditional image enhancement technique cannotadequately deal with some of the details information of the image. Comparison of the schemeproposed in this paper has been done with three other well known techniques pseudo-colorimage processing. This pseudo color schemes are realized by Matlab.In The chapter four, the image quality assessment system is introduced, which includeseveral kinds of the judge of image quality, such as information entropy, clarity, etc. Throughthe quantification of the proposed method is concluded with the traditional method of imageenhancement false color there is a big improvement. Confirm the method has a good imageenhancement effect. Comparison of the experimental results has shown that the performanceof the algorithm proposed in this paper is superior to that of three traditional pseudo colorcoding.There are mainly two innovations in the paper: Firstly, pseudo color image enhancement theory is combined with the wavelet analysis ofimage enhancement theory. The gray images is firstly enhanced by wavelet transformation inorder to fully strength some details of the characteristic, and then Pseudo-color coding withphase-modulated image density is used to convert it to color image, which greatly improvethe original gray scale image visual resolution;Sencondly, Design one real-time processing system for Image Enhancement Based onWavelet Transformation and Pseudo-color coding with phase-modulated image densityProcessing with 24 bits which can be applied to image recognition and image analysis.
