| With the3G licenses issued, the next round of IT system renovation is coming. Thearchitecture of operator’s IT system is designed for serving3domains: business, maintenanceand management. The IT system is divided into several sub-systems, such as CRM, Billingsystem, Channel system, Service delivery system, Resource management system etc. Due to thecomplexity of the IT system architecture, it is becoming difficult to share the data amongsystems, it caused that the unified service regulation of corporation can not be implemented inapplications. So, it brings many challenges to our operator, for example, operator can’t get thereal time information of accounts, service deployments and ARPU from their customer’s sales,can not precisely select target customers, can not optimize business process. In another hand,limited information of staff overall working status is passed to operator’s management, whichleads to the difficulty of accurate evaluation of staff.Above all, it’s really urgent to setup anunified telecom operation data warehouse to support various application domains.In July2007, China telecom group issued a set of China telecom operation data storage(hereinafter referred to as ODS) related standard, mainly include the:《CTG-MBOSSEDA-ODS: overall regulation V1.0》and《CTG-MBOSS EDA-ODS：technical specificationsV1.0》, used to instruct the construction of each provincial ODS. This article firstly go throughthe understanding of Data warehouse and Operational Data Store theory, based on that, itintroduce and analyse the definition of the ODS, technical characteristics, function. And also itillustrate ODS construction of China telecom’s overall standard, with zhejiang telecomsupporting system current situation, this article proposes the zhejiang telecom ODS systemmodel, ODS ETL platform, details the ODS data process, sharing and distribution, provides thecustomer integral computation rules and the formation of the system, and the specific designand realization. |
