This thesis investigates on the radio access network technology of WCDMA, which is one of the3G standards. The current case and existing problems of WCDMA radio access network are discussed, and the optimization for radio access network of XIAOGAN WCDMA network is done.This thesis focuses on the inter-operation of WCDMA and GSM, and neiborring cell optimization for WCDMA. The background of radio access network optimization for WCDMA, the optimization setting, the main contents of optimization, test preparation, and optimization phases are investigated.Thw radio access network of XIAOGAN WCDMA network is investigated, and the weak coverage, handover, power unbalance for up and down links, no main pilot cell, pilot contamination etc are discussed. Based on previous investigation, the optimization scheme for XIAOGAN WCDMA radio access network is proposed. |
