2009 is the peak season of HSPA networking in the world, and China Unicom began its comprehensive construction WCDMA network in the same year. After nearly two years of network construction, Unicorm's mobile network quality and network coverage have both been greatly ascended. In order to be more outstanding in this intensely competitive market, China Unicom should optimize its WCDMA network and establish Unicom's qualified 3G network brand in its 3G network covering area based on the previous efforts as soon as possible. To this purpose, it is extremely urgent to optimize the current WCDMA network according to the requirement of optimization as well as the residual problem.According to China Unicom WCDMA Networking Construction Guidance, with the reference of a great amount of data, as well as on the basis of analyzing WCDMA Wireless Networking Construction Principles, this thesis has clearly described the plan designing and simulation of WCDMA Wireless Networking Construction taking City XX as an example.Based on the geographical and economic situation as well as CMCC networking status, this thesis analyses the wireless network status, wireless networking telephone traffic, wireless networking quality and complaints, and the covering circumstance of networking construction. The existing problems of the WCDMA wireless networking are found. Based on these analyses, this paper poses the aim of WCDMA networking construction in City XX. Consequently, The covering construction plan, capacity construction scheme, base station equipment selection, Iub interface circuit demand, frequency plan and interference coordination, Numbers plan, scrambler planning and HSPA construction scheme in this area are put forward. The network scale is worked out according to the design plan, with the help of Atoll simulation planning software, and Monte-Carlo simulation method to simulate the wireless network. In the end, the performance results of the completed network were predicted.
