Planning Of WCDMA Radio Access Network Of HuBei Unicom

Mobile communication has already entered the era of3G high-speed development stage. In this thesis, the wireless network technology of the third generation mobile communication standard WCDMA was analyzed, and according to market demand and current application situation of Hubei Unicom WCDMA wireless network, we made planning for Hubei Unicom WCDMA wireless network.The WCDMA architecture, radio access technologies, and interfaces are discussed in this thesis. The radio access network planning for Hubei Unicom WCDMA network is focused. The current status of Hubei Unicom radio access network for WCDMA is investigated, especially the radio coverage, traffic, radio network quality, user complain, data service etc. The radio access network planning for Hubei Unicom radio access network of CDMA is done, including link budget, coverage modeling and propogation model, base station site selection, base station capacity calculation and channel configuration, base station border planning, base station controller site, and multi-coverage application etc.
