Planning And Optimization Of Xianning WCDMA Radio Access Network

With the mobile communication developing rapidly, people demand more and more to mobile communication system. The traditional Global System for Mobile Communications network cannot provide high speed packet service, so there is necessity to upgrade the network to satisfy people’s ever-growing demands for mobile communication services.This thesis studies WCDMA planning and optimization, which is one of. the third generation mobile communication standard. The basic planning and optimization principles for radio access network of WCDMA network is discussed and investigated, and based on the planning and optimization theory, the planning and optimization scheme for Xianning Unicom WCDMA radio access network are presented..The planning and optimization solutions for radio access network of WCDMA are discussed in detail, then the overall strategy for radio access network deployment is proposed. Based on the coverage strategy analysis, the coverage solutions for dense urban area, urban area, suburd area, and village area are presented. The distributed coverage solutions are also discussed.Finally we focus on the design, planning, and optimization for radio access network of XianNing ChinaUnicom WCDMA network. Based on the current case and problems, through environment analyses, the overall development roadmap and objective are proposed. The palnning and optimization solution for radio access network of XianNing WCDMA network is presented, which takes into account the market, services, and user profile, etc.
