In recent years, with the expansion of network scale, heterogeneous degrees areincreasing, network technology has made substantial progress, and the modernnetwork has evolved into a complex, pluralistic system. Network environmentmonitoring, testing, analysis and alarm, is an important guarantee of stable operationof the network. Independent research and development of high-performance, highefficiency, automated fault management system to become the top priority. Thisarticle is relying on heterogeneous storage company unified disaster recovery project,based to ensure the consistency of the data of all kinds of applications in the disasterrecovery center, unified fault management system developed for the storage networkand information security based on Agent.This article summarizes the research and on the basis of the SNMP protocol andnetwork management, distributed multi-layer structure of the system architecture toachieve a unified fault management system.The main work of this paper and the results obtained are as follows:1. Through analysis and research to achieve the framework of the SNMPprotocol and network fault management system and network managementsystem is proposed to support the front-end server/back-end server, thesystem architecture of distributed multi-layer structure.2. Carried out a detailed design on the Front End Manager platform andback-end agent platform. Fault management platform, the main collection ofalarms, alarm correlation analysis, functional design of the detection tool,the system adapter. The design components of the system under theframework of standard SNMP agent platform based on the alarm message issent and received, authentication and encryption, control and managementobject access, and other functional components.3. The software functional requirements, alarms, alarm module parameters,new alarms generated alarms are recognized/unrecognized, SeverityRating, clear summary of synchronization, a detailed analysis and design.4. Through the analysis of agency work processes, set the alarm heartbeatcycle, the alarm information filtering and retransmission of alarminformation, alarm information gathering and alarm informationsynchronization function modules.5. According to the function module design principles and implementation techniques to achieve a unified fault management system in alarmmanagement software, tested and its actual business environment.At the same time, the unified fault management system alarm informationmanagement software for innovation: a support front-end server/back-end serversystem architecture for distributed multi-layer structure.Distributed multi-layer structure can be integrated into existing managementsystems come in, under the premise does not provide a comprehensive networkmanagement can also manage multiple network separation. And has good scalability and extensibility, and support theold and new systems compatible. Also supports advanced features such as highavailability.
