The Design And Implementation Of Network Fault Management System Based On SNMP

With the rapid development of computer networks, Network structure is also more complex, great changes of application mode on network technology have taken place; the network management has also become increasingly more important. The plant fault management has always been a difficulty to construct the management information system for enterprise, which with the features of large amount of information, involving a lot of posts and people and trivial processing flow. Unified Network Management has gradually become the goal of enterprises. It is to provide a common platform and reusable components and thus provide a framework for quick Network Management development. The network fault management is basement work and the most important task in the network management which mainly includes such key technologies as the network fault detection, the network fault localization and the network fault restores. Developing high performance, totally automated fault management system has been an agenda for most enterprises. A large network often use many device manufactured by different manufacturer and the different devices have different management and different alarm.The faults of the device made by different manufacturer are difference, which make the management of network in confusion. Fault Module parse Trap packet firstly, and then unified all of the Non-uniform format into a packet format which their own defined, by this step, it realize fault unified management eventually.This paper for the medium to the management of large networks. analysis and study SNMP protocol on the framework,network management system architecture and approach to application of development network management, present a design options that more than one dynamic library, and then realize.This thesis describes firstly three department of simple network management protocol:Structure of management Information,Management Information Base and Management Information Protocol. At the same time project-based on a company's integrated network management system, described the design principle and overall structural design of the fault system. With the design and development by myself, the paper elaborates the whole structural design of the subsystem of the fault management system.
