In the overall trend of information technology, telecom operators have changed the focus of their development strategy to business, network and technology transformation. As the3G era,the requriment of serivers such as3G base stations return, Emerging broadband data services, Ethernet Private Line is the main driving force that promtes the transformation of the transport network. The traditional synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) technology, IP Internet and Ethernet technology can not meet the demand of transmission and load for3G bearer and the entire business operations. Nowadays2G business is still the main business for operators, At the same time time due to the problem of construction issues and funds, the restructuring of the transport network technology can not be achieved at once. Therefore, the situation of the coexistence of multiple networks and gradually transition is a necessary stage to the development of transport network. This thesis from Zhengzhou mobile’s business development needs to move about, discusses the planning and construction ideas that through the expansion of SDH to meet the needs of current2G business expansion. In response to new IP based of large particles and the demand for IP circuit transmission, a combination of optical transport network (OTN) and the packet transport network (PTN) should be deployed. Secondly, how to promote the evolution of metro transport network, reconstruct the architecture of metro transport network, make use of the network resources and optimize investment are mainly study. Finally, the suggestions for the construction and development of Zhengzhou mobile’s transport network are made.
