Packet Transport Network (PTN) has the features of all-IP, high-bandwidth, protection func-tion,strong OAM functions,Combined IP technology with traditional transmission network.The appear of PTN, has Provided a solution to IP-based networks and high bandwidth.The paper has analyzed the requirement of Packet Transport, studyed of the development status of PTN, the basic principles and tech-nical characteristics, investigated PTN planning principles.This paper has studyed on the the Zhengzhou mobile PTN planning in-depth, in terms of network architecture, business, survivability, QoS, the OAM, the DCN, synchronization, network management, etc. It has tested and verified Zhengzhou mobile PTN service bearer, the protection function, the synchronization performanHce, QoS, etc.Conclusions of the paper on the Zhengzhou mobile PTN planning and test results, has an important role in guiding the engineering practice. Further proposed multi-network collaboration, unified bearer, the sepa-ration of dual-network thinking can be applied to future PTN planning and construction.
