Heat treatment is a main means of improving powder metallurgy material and other metalwork. In recent years, more and more supernal request for the performance of metallurgy material has been proposed in order to adapt to the industry, so heat treatment is hammering at high efficiency, high quality and low-power. Temperature is of a crucial factor influencing material’s properties, so measurement and control of the temperature has become a key technology in the process of heat treatment. Prove Sintering Furnace is commonly used heating equipment in heat treatment, so the research to the measurement and control of furnace temperature is of great significance.In this thesis, on the basis of introduce both at home and abroad on the situation of temperature control system of Bell Prover Sintering Furnace, and aiming at the bad feature that the ability for temperature control system to process is poor, human-computer interaction imperfect and control interface is not enough friendly and beautiful, and the control effect is not enough good, an embedded Linux temperature control system based on fuzzy PID algorithm for Bell Prover Sintering Furnace has been proposed. In hardware, AT91RM9200taken as the core, a temperature testing unit and a LCD module is designed, an output control circuit, a RS232serial interface circuit, a JTAG circuit and an Ethernet interface circuit is also designed, and the storage unit is expanded. In software, firstly the necessary configuration and tailoring is maken in the Linux operating system platform, and then the Linux kernel is transplanted to hardware. Secondly the application program including the formulae of temperature detection module, liquid crystal display module and control algorithm is designed. Finally, a friendly graphical user interface for this system is designed and implemented through the graphical interface tools Qt/Embedde.A fuzzy PID control algorithm is adopted for controling the temperature of Bell Prover Sintering Furnace, and a simulation model for the bell prover temperature control system is set up, and then the simulation analysis respectively carried on conventional PID control and fuzzy PID. The results show that the fuzzy PID control algorithm can effectively improve the system’s processing ability of nonlinear, time-variation and uncertainty, and the control effect is better too.
