With the development of informatization, intelligentization and networking, embedded system technology will obtain a broad space for development as well. Since1990s, embedded technology has carried out in an all-round way, which currently turns into the common development direction of communication and consumer products. Meanwhile, embedded system becomes more and more complex. The addition of Single-chip microcomputer in embedded system is particularly significant. In the post-PC era, embedded system will possess the largest market. Computer and network has already permeated each corner of everyone’s daily life completely. Various kinds of new-type embedded system equipments have already far exceeded general-purpose computers in quantity. Each ordinary people may possess various kinds of electronic products with the application of embedded technology, from micro digital products, such as MP3, PDA, to network household appliances, intelligent household appliances and vehicle electronic equipments. However, in the field of industry and services, with the usage of embedded technology, digital machine tools, intelligent tools, industrial robots and service robots will gradually change the traditional mode in industry and service.This paper introduces the development and application of embedded PIC Single-chip microcomputer teaching system. The nature of embedded system makes it more complicated in development and debugging than other ordinary systems. As a result, a friendly development environment is important to embedded systems. Embedded systems differ from ordinary operation systems in the following aspects: word switching, time for maximal system debugging, delay of interruption. Generally, embedded systems are divided into two categories:control and communication-based synchronous system; asynchronous system facing consuming electronic products. This paper focuses on control-based synchronous operation system.The purpose of this thesis is to improve and perfect the teaching system of TJRTVU. Embedded PIC Single-chip microcomputer teaching system enables students to establish contact with the latest technology and items, which empowers them with practical capability in society. This teaching system requires students to have knowledge of basic concepts, basic principles, development procedure and processes, methods of engineering designing and methods of resolving technological problems. The basic knowledge will lay a solid foundation for students engaged in the study and development of embedded systems.
