The study of this thesis is such an intelligent system, which is based on the thecontrolling core of16-bit Single-Chip microcontroller MC9S12XS128produced by FreescaleSemiconductor Inc, which looks on H-Bridge as motor driver, which regards theOV5116-camera installed on the front of the vehicle as road image sensor, and which takesS3010-steering engine for the controller of the direction.This paper mainly introduced the process of target road information obtaining,processing and identification. On the basis of this study, we used effective algorithm tocontrol the intelligent car, which can track and capture road information fast and accurately. Inthe research, the intelligent car first obtained road image through camera head OV5116, thenanalyzed and processed this original image by image processing algorithms, which wouldreturn the target image. At the same time, the intelligent car identified its current position byprocessing various paths information. Finally, the intelligent car completed its turning andspeed control through PWM module which steered servo angle extent and DC motor speed.The closed-loop control of the speed was implemented by the feedback pulse signal from theoptical encoder sensor, which controlled the intelligent vehicle speed real-time with PIDcontrol algorithm.
