The Design And Implementation Of Application Management System

The government work report on the11th people’s congress of Shandong Province put forward the goal that support Shandong University in building to be a word-class one. Shandong University in the next stage is bound to enter a period of rapid growth moving towards word-class University. However, the development of a university can not be separated from the information construction. Traditional project reporting is often use paper documents to submit and approval; this will inevitably result in low work efficiency and management confusion, to resolve this problem and combined with the actual work of the Graduate School, specially designed and developed the project application management system.The project application management system mainly includes three parts: management of organizational departments、management of department research programs and management of the project application process. The three parts cooperate with each other to complete the project application. The main function of the organizational department management part is to maintain the department’s information and the organizational relationship between departments. Department information includes the basic information about the department and its functions. About the department’s relationship, since the difference between the administration and research, it is possible that a department has two parent department, therefore, the relationship between organizational departments adopt the structure of dual parent node, the tree structure can show this relationship clearly. The function of the second part is to development and maintenance of the various departments’research programs, each research program includes program detail information and ancillary documents. Ancillary documents are stored on the ftp server in file form which can be downloaded by the applier. Department research plan also includes a hierarchical relationship, so it also in a tree structure. Each year’s annual plan is created according to research programs and project application declares for the annual plan. The main function of the project application progress is that students based on specific annual plans for the project application, after students fill out the information to complete the project submission, the project should be approved by the tutor, college and the postgraduate school. Only the three-tier approval pass can complete the reporting progress. The system has improved the efficiency of the project reporting work to some extent after put into use and simplified the query and statistics work.This paper takes the development of the Shandong University project report management information system as the background, through the deep-seated requirement analysis of each business segments, this paper include the detailed analysis of the system structure and design ideas. Main works of the paper are as follows:1. First introduce the development background of the system and introduced the main issued that need to be resolved in the development progress.2. On this basis, introduced the selection and design of the technology and the functional structure which were used in the system, especially the appliance of the UIMS (User Interface Management system) and the JBPM (Java Business Process Management) in this system.3. In the third part described the requirement analysis and the outline design of the system.4. The last part is the detailed design and implementation and also includes the detailed description of the three-tier structure and user interface design.This task is aimed at the actual project application progress of the Shandong University graduate school, it can effectively improve the work efficiency, the paper has a strong practical.
