Development with the RFID radio frequency identification technology, the RFIDreader design requirements become increasingly stringent when faced with the use ofdifferent levels of demand in different occasions. Most of the products on the marketare built based on foreign products chip, such as the R1000,R2000,and then buildexternal circuit by ourselves.But this method is difficult to transplant, and prone to allkinds of unexpected problems, product performance, so it maybe often in unstable state.In this situation, it is very positive that integrating the reader chip.This thesis researched on the UHF radio frequency identification technology.Contrast to EPC Global standard protocol which the more commonly used at home andabroad, the thesis adopt the new standard protocol, design the digital baseband of theUHF reader, and then achieve validation on the FPGA.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:1. Compared with the current standards, the thesis introduce the physical layer, thelabel identifies the layer, the tag memory, tag status, as well as reader and tagcommunication base on new protocol standard.2. On the basis of the new protocol standard, the thesis analyze digital basebandarchitecture of the reader, designed focuses on the main modules. Set the readercodec, the rate of data, the modulation and collision detection.3. The thesis design the mian cells of digital baseband system, which included themajor truncated pulse position encoding (TPP), the raised cosine filter, Hilbertfilter, CRC module, the decoding module, the timing module. These modules haveto optimize to achieve the purpose of occupying the minimum of resources.4. In the collision cell, the thesis use the dynamic dispersion contraction binary tree(DDS-BT) mechanism, which combined with the advantages of other collisionalgorithm.5.
