In the context of globalization, with the rapid sources-flowing between cities, the competitions between cities have become increasingly fierce. As an important part of the urban core competitiveness, the city image is the important part of the competitions between cities, so the construction and diffusion of city images is an important way of raising the city’s attractiveness and competitiveness. Therefore, it’s necessary to have a thoroughly exploration of Nanning’s image communication, and put forward some efficient suggestions.In part I of the paper the background of the study, research methods, the significance and innovations are introduced firstly. Secondly, it combs out home and abroad research on the city image, and then summarizes the representative theory of city image communication given by researchers, and proposes some views on city image communication. Finally, some correlative concepts are distinguished in this part.In part II of the paper the content of Nanning’s image are described, including political image, economic image, cultural image and tourism image. Then, it describes the effect of Nanning’s image communication on the development of Nanning, which included the role communication plays on economic construction, political construction and cultural construction.In part III of the paper we try to analyze the key factor and present situation of Nanning’s image communication, and then try to identify the current problems.The fourth part of the paper is about some suggestions for Nanning’s image communication. By summarizing the successful experience of Hong Kong’s and Suzhou’s image communication, and combining with the problems of Nanning’s image communication, it proposes some key points for Nanning’ image communication. Finally, it puts forward Integrated Communication Strategy, including the strategy of locate Nanning’s image, journalism communication, interpersonal communication, image advertising communication, celebrated activities communication, television communication, public relations communication and game communication.By investigating the current communicate activities of Nanning, this study finds out the problems, and presents the strategies of Nanning’s image communication. I hope this research provides certain theoretical guidance for Nanning’s image communication, and make some contributions to promote the image of Nanning.
