Urban landscape is the content of the city image as well as medium for the spread of city image, shows the urban landscape and urban culture.In Nanning, for example, this paper studied the Nanning landscape of plant, sculpture and the building materials; Public cultural activities such as zhongshan road night market which shows the activities landscape and the interaction between human and natural landscape in Nanning city image communication present situation, problems and solution strategy. The Nanning subtropical plant landscape is outstanding, urban landscape of nationality element is unique, and so is the urban landscape of the association of south-east Asian nations (asean) landscape of urban activity is full of vitality, but there is also lack of systemic and planning of urban landscape, urban historical and cultural landscape and human subjectivity is not prominent and symbolization of urban landscape spread is not valued, therefore, this article put forward the cultural orientation of city image " ZhuangXiang amorous feelings, the window of the association of south-east Asian nations (asean)", based on it, this paper puts forward the following strategies:first, strengthening urban landscape planning and building characteristic urban landscape; Second, diging minority characteristics and making city national brands; Third, docking asean culture and making the association of south-east Asian nations (asean) cultural landscape; fourth, to innovative landscape expression and strengthening people’s subjectivity; fifth, paying attention to the symbolic spread of landscape in order to speed up urban visual image transmission.The deep core of urban landscape is the city culture, therefore, Nanning should take the national culture and the association of south-east Asian nations culture as the core to build characteristic landscape and promote city image communication.
