In recent years, with the increase of urban development and high-risebuildings, the use of the number of tower cranes (hereinafter referred to as thetower crane) constantly increased, the tower crane is widely used to improvebuilding mechanization, increase the speed of construction to ensureconstruction quality,to reduce the labor intensity plays a great role. However, inthe tower crane in the vertical lifting and transporting people or materials, it isan accident. A long time, how to know the status of the tower crane in real time,and potentially dangerous to make an effective solution to a problem. In60-70years, there the use of video surveillance system so that the crane driverstanding directly in the construction area in abroad, the scene command and theoperation of a variety of actions. In China, the current use of video surveillancesystem to monitor the tower crane is still growing. Therefore, to design a videosurveillance system suitable for the tower crane, the crane driver can effectivelyconduct on-site command and operating effectively to avoid all kinds ofaccidents.At present, there are many solutions of the video surveillance system in thesurveillance market and how to choose a suitable plan is very important. Select aprogram, we mainly considered from the technical difficulty, the picture qualityas well as R&D costs. After comprehensive consideration, this paper proposesa network video monitoring system based on embedded technology. The systemis based on Hi3512Huawei Hisi multimedia processing chip as the core platform,a remote camera to capture video signal, input TW2865with the format of CVBS;TW2865capture PAL video signals and convert into the digital signal and inputHi3512through the BT.656interface; after the Hi3512receipt the video, processthe image, and encode with the H.264; the encoded data can be stored on the SDcard; or Hi3512decoded itself, player it after the digital-analog conversionbyTW2865.This paper first introduces Hi3512processor knowledge, focused on thesystem used by the multimedia chip Hi3512based on ARM9+DSP core, designmain peripheral circuit of Hi3512with a modular approach: CPU system circuitmodule, memory module, video codec module, video processing module, themodules of video input and output, network transceivers, and peripheral interface circuit module etc, and detailed description each module. Thenintroduced the running environment configuration of this embedded Linuxoperating system, and how to compile and transport the program HiBoot andLinux kernel on Hi3512hardware and develop the application under the Linuxoperating system, Then debug the software features of this system. Finally, Imake a summary and outlook of the full text and put the forward proposals bymyself.In this paper, realize a digital, networked, intelligent monitoring solutions,use domestic CPU (Hi3512), reduce development difficulty and costs, and withhigh reliability and stability, as well as good engineering practices and practicalsignificance.
