With the booming development of the semiconductor industry, designed for embedded systems get further integration, miniaturization and low cost, as well as its speed, reliability, stability has brought great progress, making the embedded systems industry more and more widespread, especially in the case of the rapid development of multimedia technology and network technology, embedded systems occupy in the traditional PC mainstream video surveillance market has gradually emerge. In the field of security technology, the development of video surveillance systems has experienced analog video signal monitoring system, a general-purpose computer (PC) to load digital video capture card monitoring system, as well as the rapid development of embedded network video surveillance system several process, monitor live video being toward the direction of the video capture front-end integration, digitization of the video signal transmission, monitoring data network sharing, the size of the system is highly integrated development. Therefore, design to the embedded system devices as the front end of the video signal acquisition, it will be acquired by the image sensor at the front end when the analog image signal into a digital signal by a suitable compression algorithm to compress the video data, and then stored locally or via the network transmission to the remote client, remotely control it directly by the user, or video information processing work to become the inevitable trend of development of the current video surveillance system. The subject based on ARM+Linux embedded video monitoring system design.Firstly, In terms of system hardware design, using Samsung ARM9microprocessor as the core, and discusses in detail the selection basis of the basic components of the embedded video monitoring system terminal works and its main modules, the monitoring system experimental platform to build on the existing hardware resources, andthe major hardware such as Flash, SDRAM memory, UART interface, SD card, LCD monitors, network cards, CCD camera interface, USB interface, JTAG interface, and then completed a part of the design of the system hardware.Secondly, in terms of software design, the use of Linux as an embedded operating system, Linux system transplanted on the embedded device, peripheral device drivers written and video information collection, storage and compression, as well as the network transport protocol design aspectsin-depth analysis, and focus on research into digital image processing in embedded monitoring system in the front of the equipment acquisition, acquisition front-end noise filtering and image pre-processing functions, the original video information makescomplex environmental factors that may exist in the system of monitoring the scene with a strong anti-jamming ability, after video after pretreatment, can be used in the normal human eye directly observed forensics, the field of high-end technology for machine vision analysis.Finally, under the premise of the normal work of the various modules, system debugging, testing, comparative analysis of the experimental results, the experiments show for different occasions, different applications of image processing algorithms, the system provides to the user powerful software algorithms, suitable for common monitoring environment of high-quality video image information and evidence collection, fully able to meet the regular elevators, shopping malls, home security monitoring field.
