| Mass sports is an important part of the Chinese sports, which can not only protect our health but also can vent the social pressure and bring us happiness. As social culture activities, improve mass spots will has great significance to the prosperity of the socialist culture. With the establishment of our country, mass spots is developing rapidly, but compare with sports, mass sports is far weaker than it in terms of the influence and the level of development. The reports of mass sports by the media can not only improve the influence of mass sports, but also can strengthen the mass sports realization of the people, Therefore, research and improve the media reports of mass sports is meaningful to the development of mass sports.Beijing Evening News is the first founded evening news of Beijing after our country founded, and it is one of the most authoritative comprehensive evening newspapers in Beijing, which has the characteristic of social and regional. The subject of my dissertation is about the report of mass sports on Beijing Evening News from the year2006to2010. In the dissertation I used content analysis. By means of made content analysis index, this dissertation carried out the statistical analysis and showed the general situation of the reports of mass sports on Beijing Evening News. Based on the theory of media frame, this dissertation revealed the characteristics and trends on the thematic frame, structural frame and the verbal frame by the Beijing Evening News.The research shows that, from the year2006to2010the attention casts to mass sports is increasing, but is much lower than the attention casts on sports. The features of the frame are as follows, first, because of the influence of the mass sports activities held by Beijing Evening News, it shows a narrow frame; second, for the purpose of conducting public opinion, Beijing Evening News not only pay attention to the fact but also to the statement of the opinion of the newspaper itself; third, the reports of mass sports on sports news edition is so dull that we can’t reflect the competitive and entertainment of the mass sports. In the future mass sports reporting, we suggest that the frame of mass sports on Beijing Evening News should be more multiple and wide. They should increase the intensity of the report of mass sports and handle the proportion of the reports on their own mass sports activities and other mass sports while keep on organizing their own mass sports activities. Furthermore, they should learn from the reports on sports to improve the report on mass sports. |
