With the rapid development of economy and automatic control technology continues to mature, the requirements of various production safety monitoring are also getting higher and higher, establishment of integrated automation control system has become the important index of modern production. A kind of integrated automation control system based on the field bus technology and computer control technology integrate the various subsystems, unifizes the data collected by the field devices and the work state information of the field devices in the same system platform, using the industrial configuration software to realize the automation control system optimization design.The pump station of Taiyuan postal sorting center is the center’s important guarantee for the fire water and domestic water, according to Taiyuan post sorting center’s requirements and the scene of the actual situation, this paper gives a reasonable design of the integrated control system of pump station. This system uses automatic control technology, computer technology and communication technology, integrates the scene subsystem through the N:N network of the industrial field bus, sends the work state information of the field devices and the data collected by the field devices to the monitoring center. For example, the working condition of the water pump, the current of the inverter, the frequency current of the water pump, the water pressure of the pipeline, the frequency of the interver, etc. Real-time display on the screen of the monitoring center, staff members can be convenient to observe the data changes and the running state of the equipment, and the staff members can send the control commands to the field devices, set the parameters of the field devices and system, control the field devices remotely. This system also has the function of circuit protection and alarm output, the system will automatically take the corresponding protective action and output alarm signal when the devices fails, greatly improve the reliability and security of the system. Computer monitoring system has the function of historical alarm records, it can record and store the the pump station’s alarm type and alarm time, this system provides an effective basis for the staff members to analyze and process the failure of the integrated control system. This pump station integrated control system uses Mitsubishi FX1N PLC as the control core, this series PLC has a variety of means of communication to choose from and has good compatibility. Computer monitoring system uses the King Vie w6.53software, which has a good expansibility and adaptability, and short development cycle, easy to expand.This paper describes the Taiyuan postal sorting center briefly at first, followed illustrates the important role of the fire protection system at the center and elaborates the role, specifications and function parameters of each system’s hardware, carried out a detailed study on the functional requirements and design of the hardware circuit. Then deeply study the functionality and design process of the system’s software, such as logic control program, data processing program and communication program, and give a detailed description of the design process of the monitoring system’s monitoring screen, database and data connection. At last, this paper analyzed the pump station control system and discussed the future development prospect of the system.
