Oilfield Metering Station as the object of study, the monitoring system has been designedin the paper, which is based on PLC-IPC and combines the production technologycharacteristics of oilfield metering station and procedure-controlling requirements.The lower computer in the system is S7-300series PLC. Besides, some modules areconfigured for the system, such as CPU module, AI/AO modules, DI/DO modules and powersupply module. The Ladder diagram of monitoring system is completed by using the STEP7software. In order to control separator pressure in metering rooms, system utilizes the PIDregulator. To realize the "Pump off control", we can regulate the pumping speed, by detectingthe pumping unit for the dynamometer card.The upper computer of the system utilize industrial computer and chosen WINCC as theexploration platform. The humane-computer interfaces have been designed in the paper, suchas process flow diagram of Oilfield Metering Station, monitoring screen in the well site,monitoring screen in the water station. All these interfaces realize such functions as thedisplay of system interface, real-time monitoring, control parameter setting and adjustment,data management, alarm and so on.In the paper, the system communications network has been configured by STEP7software, and the data communications between the upper computer and PLC has beenrealized via the CP5611communications adapter card. The design and debugging ofmonitoring system in the Oilfield Metering Station has been completed. The result ofoperation shows that the expected requirement has been achieved.
