Geographic information system has produced along with development of the computer technology, information technology, distributed technology and database, network of this systems has become one of the important direction of development, Web-based Geographic Information System (WebGIS) came into being.Geographic information system combined with telecommunication information system, using a specific way to together the effective management of telecommunication network resources, business marketing, customer service, operation and management, value-added services, etc with geographic information system, therefore it is particularly important to mine deeply geographical information technology application in the telecommunications industry.The system have a relatively large amount of data, we should consider the system performance problems form hardware, software, and environmental fields in designing and implementation of WebGIS application system.This article is to study and analyze the performance issues in terms of software architecture, the map cache technology, the number of layers, map publishing format and system configuration deployment. This article mainly studies the content as follows:1. First,This article introduces the concept of based-web geographic information system. And there is a comparative analysis among WebGIS, network geographic information system and Internet GIS, and the paper points out that at present the WebGIS’s problems.Finally, the article analyzes detailly the C/S mode, B/S mode and mixed-mode Webgis System.and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the three mode.2. The article describes ESRI’s geographic information processing open platform (ArcGIS), and discusses in detail the functionality and architecture of ArcGIS Server map tile technology. Finally, the paper compares the map cache service and dynamic map services. 3. This article starting from the application system architecture discusses its impact on performance. Second,according to the users’ need and user capabilities of the telecommunication network resources, the article investigates the architecture of the application and architecture on system performance.4. the application of resource survey’s ultimate goal is to make spatial data displaying to the users, first, for image data,the article analyzes performance about the configuration of cache parameters, and then compares service performance between MSD and MXD formats, testing zoom, pan operation time-consuming in different number layers. Finally, the paper studies performance on system configuration and deployment.
