Based its background on engine room environment, this thesis mainly addresses issues of Data Acquisition System and Types of Acces in Monitoring System for Engine Room Environment.First, this thesis analyzes the structure of the Data Acquisition System(include two parts:Data Acquisition Terminal and Data Acquisition Engine) in the the tertiary architecture of Monitoring System for Engine Room Environment, it is also showing that the networking access is so necessary for Data Acquisition System.Second,tht hardware of Data Acquisition System is briefly researched as fellows:Targets of Data Acquisition Terminals and the types of Data Acquisition are discussed; The SoB (System-on-Board) type of Data Acquisition Eengine based on embedded ARM Micro-control Unit(MCU AT9IRMII)is designed in paticular; Then the powerful functions, rich peripherals and interfaces in this MCU are introduced in detail; As a result, for the first time we make a suggestion on three Types of Access for Data Acquisition System:D (Data interface) type of access,V(Video interface) type of access and N(Network interface) types of access.Third, the software of Data Acquisition System is studied, that emphatically expounding about handling mechanism and implementing principle of multitasking Kernel;The cooperative multitasking handle mechanism is studied in particular.Fourth, the unicity and three operation methods of seriral communication in Data Acquisition System are discussed, and a suitable impletmented method of seriral communication by self-defined cnComm series is proposed in program; In additon,a practical Dynamic Link Library(DLL) for seriral communication is directly programmed by API function of Windows in VC++environment.And finally, the propocol Modbus is selected for seriral communication,and illustrate an erro check method for Modbus in program with example.Finally, as a result, the embedded and network Data Acquisition System will be superior to conventional Data Acquisition System. Therefore we expect this thesis to be a reference for modification of Monitoring Systen Propocol in Engine Room Eenvironment.
