Pet System, Data Acquisition Mode

Positron Emission Tomography is a kind of the highest level medical imaging equipments among the nuclear medical domain . PET plays very important roles hi the diagnosis of all kinds of tumors, some kinds of cardiac diseases . The realization of the data acquisition mode is one of a important part of the PET system. We describe it from the point view of hardware here . The data acquisition mode here we describe is different from the data acquisition we used to think about . The most task is to complete all kinds of acquisition mode in the process of data transported .The realization of the data acquisition mode if different from the other nuclear medical imaging equipment's data acquisition .It is a part of the data acquisition in the view of physical .But ,it is a part of data processing system .So it is a special part of the PET.The data acquisition of the PET has several kind of mode .There are deferent mode divided by deferent standard .There are empty scan ,trans- scan and emission scan .The emission scan could be divided into 2D and 3D by space and be divided into static scan ,dynamic scan , gated scan and whole body scan . From the point view of our hardware realization ,we abstract the scan mode again .We divide it into three kind of mode .They are :trans -scan ,gate scan and static scan .The whole part of the data acquisition is build in a computer as two data acquisition cards .They are front card and rear card .The front card composed of four modules .They are :coin circuit module ,data flow controller module ,SDRAM array module and system bus interface module .The rear card composed of four odules .They are: asynchronous serial port interface module ,ADC control odule ,ECG signal process module and gate control data produce module .We also used several kinds technique to guarantee the signal integral .
