In vessel traffic management system, the acquisition and transmission of the radar video signal is an extremely important part while there are obvious shortcomings and deficiencies in collection of the radar signal by analogue way. In study of radar signal acquisition system, it needs to complete the acquisition of the target echo, detects the precise location of the target, forecasts and tracks the target trajectory, and thus records every target distance and time. In fact, the radar signal acquisition system needs a high collection accuracy, and also a high data acquisition rates, therefore, in the design process of the radar signal acquisition system it needs to be addressed acquisition speed, collection accuracy, and data storage processing and other issues. Using FPGA for the study of radar signal acquisition system, it designs a real-time radar signal acquisition system. This study is mainly based on Saidi company which provides high-speed four-channel data acquisition board SDZ616to complete the radar signal acquisition system design.First, the article discusses the principle and technical requirements,of radar signal acquisition, analysis the relationship between the synchronization error and sampling rate of the radar signal acquisition, to give the method of keep collecting the synchronization accuracy of the various data collection combined filtering method.Then, it discusses the overall design of the radar acquisition system. The structure of the hardware platform is based on Sichuan Saidi radar signal recorder SD616and the FPGA chip completes the design of the radar signal acquisition system, using Verilog language to compile each module function of optimization, simulation, and download. The acquisition system takes normal control of A/D converter chip, according to the position increment of radar signals acquisition mergers unit of the data collected and transmits to the next level.Finally, it designs an FPGA-based waveform generator of the sea clutter. Through time domain and frequency domain analysis of sea clutter characteristics, including K-distribution sea clutter are discussed in detail, resulting in the K-distribution data through matlab simulation. The K-distributed data storages in internal ROM, along with the clock it reads data and converts to form echo signal containing sea clutter. This allows the radar signal acquisition system directly collect the K-distribution sea clutter and facilitate the verification experiment.The design provides a more convenient way for the future understanding of the radar system acquisition and a more convenient experimental program for future radar signal acquisition system.
