Pulse wave radar is an important part of navigation radar.To ensure the real-time requirement of radar signal processing,the traditional radar signal algorithm relies on the special hardware circuit to realize its function.This approach can causes the optimization difficulties,the expensive cost and the inconvenience of maintenance.With the development of large-scale programmable logic device FPGA,there are more and more FPGA resources,and its functions are also more powerful.Using the FPGA to achieve radar signal algorithm can not only meet the real-time requirements of signal process,but also solve the problems of algorithm optimization,maintenance and other issues.The task of this thesis is to study the signal processing algorithms and system control of pulse wave navigation radar,and realize the function based on the FPGA platform.The main job of this thesis includes the following aspects:(1)This thesis analyzes the domestic and foreign navigation radar signal processing system,and divides the system processing flow into three main modules,including interface design module,signal clutter suppression algorithm module and system function control module.Besides,according to the characteristics of the radar transmitting signal,the principle of radar distance measurement and angle measurement are analyzed,both of them are the working principle of pulsed radar.(2)The algorithm analysis and FPGA implementation of the various modules in the radar signal processing system are completed.The first step is the design of interface driver,and according to the characteristics of radar signal and data requirements of the control terminal,the data interaction of the signal processing system is analyzed.The interaction between FPGA and antenna is achieved mainly through the parallel among level conversion,analog-to-digital conversion and other chips on the signal processing board.FPGA can read the antenna downlink signal or output control signal directly.The interaction between the signal processing system and the display terminal is transmitted mainly through the network port,and the two-way interactive function of the network port is realized at the same time.In the second step,the radar signal clutter suppression algorithm in the various modules are analyzed,radar signal clutter suppression algorithm mainly includes the same frequency interference,pulse accumulation,wave suppression,rain and snow suppression.The basic principles of each suppression algorithm are studied,and the FPGA implementation is designed based on the algorithm principle.The third step,the control modules used in the signal processing are described,including the principle of control module and FPGA implementation.(3)The feasibility and stability of signal processing algorithms and system control modules are verified by hardware platform.First,the interface is debugged to ensure the normal data interaction.Second,according to the control terminal to adjust,control and observe the effect of image display.Finally,let the radar work for a long time to verify the stability of system.The test results show that the data interaction,signal processing algorithms and the control functions of system can work properly.
