With GPS technology as the basis, this paper completes the design of real-time monitoring system on the container truck in logistics industry along with the comprehensive utilization of GPRS wireless transmission technology and GIS technology. The information source of the system is the data from the GPS receiver installed on the truck. Through the calculation and analysis of the data, this system achieves the purpose of monitoring and locating the position of the truck.With the design mode of the asynchronous communication with message platform module as one of its cores for the paper, the thesis realizes the module’s high cohesion and low coupling ability, and brings flexible expandability for the system. During the state of design, this paper proposes the design mode of the centralized frame structure and the half of distributed frame structure, After a period of test for the mode. this paper selects the second mode as the message platform’s framework.Data access module as another core for the paper, how to ensure the maximum terminal number is the main task, After abandon the multi-thread mode, the paper afford the mode of IOCP for its main framework. Through the process of using the IOCP as the main mode, this paper puts forward several measures to optimize this mode which make its potential to the maximum.In order to improve the ability of corresponding the emergencies, this paper puts forward the thought of application of the safeguard mechanism which can ensure the system has the ability to process the emergencies automatically.The application of vehicle monitoring system in the logistics industry with the basis of GPS technology exerts a strong vitality to the development of this industry. Assisted by the monitoring system, the users can check on real-time running state of the vehicle, adjust the vehicle running track and change the vehicle schedule flexibly, all of which provide a strong technology protection for the industry’s prosperity and development.
