With the extensive application of GPS technique in some social area ,so that is growing up a huge industrial market at present. The aim for this thesis will is that develop and research a base synthetize technique of integrated wireless data communication ,and fixed position of satellites ,and electric maps ,through the design of GPS vehicle fixed position and traced system based on GSM network. It will be a technical basis of meeting the different market demands .The vehicle position trace system designed in this thesis is composed of GPS terminal that vehicle carries, wireless communication system and controlling center.This system is integrated with Global Position System(GPS), Geographic InformationSystem(GIS), Global System for Mobiles Communications (GSM), the technique ofcomputer data processing and modern data communication. It achieves the functions of all-day GPS, electronic map display and vehicle real time monitoring, etc. In the area covered by the GSM network, its extending can actualized the position tracing and control through the Internet. Based on technological analysis of GPS, GIS, GSM and their development and application status home and abroad; We discuss the general system design, software and hardware constitute and design, the choices of various function modules and communication modes, this thesis has explained whole procedure of system design and application. This thesis perfectly implement transmission of terminal information and display for moving track of electric map and the real time information in the monitoring center, controlling and attemper to terminal that vehicle carries ,and implement basic function which information exchange between the center and terminals etc. It will be establish foundation for application of GPS technique through the system development in the future.
