Research On The Field Parcel Monitoring And Update System Based On GPS/RS/GIS

The technology of "precision agriculture" which based on 3S has been applied to the production and management since 1980's, agricultural production digitization and controllable have entered into a brand-new stage. In order to provide the highly current information of field parcel for the famers and supervisors, it is vital to develop the field parcel monitoring and update system urgently.The paper deeply researches the field parcel monitoring and update system based on 3S technology from the system model, the technical route, the composition structure and function structures, etc. The research and realization of the three major parts (mobile data acquisition terminal, wireless correspondence interface, monitoring and update service center) have been accomplished, which constructed by GPS (Global Position System), GIS (Geographic Information System),RS (Remote Sensing technology) and SMS (Short Message Service) in GSM system.The followings are the research processes:(1) The mobile data acquisition terminal based on GPS receiver, Pocket PC and wireless communication module has been researched and designed. The work principal, composition structure, development characteristic and key technology, etc. have been researched thoroughly, the concrete realization planning has been provided, the data transmission has been realized based on two ways of data file and SMS, which provide the highly current information of filed parcel.(2) The wireless correspondence interface which is based on GSM communication module and communication computer has been researched and designed.
