Service-oriented Integration Approaches Of Enterprise Systems And Their Applications

With the rapid expansion of enterprise business and information construction, most of the enterprises meet the same situation that a lot of isolated application systems distributed in different departments to meet different business needs. It becomes a critical issue that how to achieve the seamless integration between the application software systems and integrate these various business processes.Most of the traditional approaches to enterprise application integration (EAI) adopt tightly-coupled model, which lacks of scalability and flexibility and doesn’t fit the adjustment and restructuring of enterprise business processes. While the service-oriented architecture (SOA),which provides a loosely coupled software architecture, enables EAI shift to service-oriented integration(SOI), the emergence of the web services and enterprise service bus(ESB) technology facilitate the service-oriented EAI.With the background of an enterprise application integration project in aircraft manufacture area, this paper make the ideas of service-oriented EAI run through the whole process of software development. As a lot of complicated business processes are distributed in different departments, it’s difficult to integrate and manage the business processes in the company. To solve this problem, the paper proposes a business processes management architecture, which classifies the business process into different hierarchies to standardize the business processes management.This paper starts from the business processes management aspect, and then divides the EAI process into business process modeling and service modeling. Based on the existing methodologies, we analyze and then improve these methods aiming at solving the specified problems emerged in the EAI project, and apply them in aircraft area. Actually, it’s a summary and refinement for the existing integrated technology and practice.
